I count down from 10 whilst performing everyday tasks

georgina-no-textI have had these behaviours ever since I can remember and it’s only recently I realised/accepted it is OCD.

It was hard for me to realise because my personality didn’t match what I typically associated with OCD. I didn’t mind mess or dirt and didn’t care if things weren’t in a straight line. Now I know it’s so much bigger and affects people in every way imaginable.

I count down from 10 whilst performing everyday tasks. If I finish the task and land on 0, everything is going to be ok.

I want to make lists but I don’t want the OCD to ‘win’. I forget things.
