On 3 March 2018 we will be getting creative at the OCDAction conference in the UK in London. If you are going to be at the conference you can be part of one of our co-creation projects to make a collage artwork entitled “What Do You Think?”.
How Can I Get involved?
The creation of the collage will take place throughout the day. You will have an opportunity to visit The Secret Illness Lounge during the day where you will find magazines, newsprint, scissors and glue on our Art Desk. Rifle through the media and see if there is an image or some words, or a mash up of them, that are an expression of your OCD and your intrusive thoughts. Clip it out and add it to the canvas on the easel next to the desk.
If you see an image before the day of the event that you would like to add to the collage, clip it out and bring it along with you.
If you are signed up to one of The Secret Illness break out sessions there will be an opportunity to work on the collage during the session. If not, you are welcome to visit The Secret Illness Lounge at any other point during the day and add your piece to this collective collage.
What Will Happen to the Collage?
After the conference we will hang the collage – or collages if we make more than one – in The Secret Illness Gallery. We will also be on the look out for opportunities to hang it on real walls around the world to create conversations about OCD and help in our mission to make OCD less of a Secret Illness.
