O.C.D. is often very misunderstood and can often be the butt of jokes (“I’m sooo OCD about that”, “lol shes so OCD”). These I’m So O.C.D. That… comics were my way of taking back the phrase, finding power in owning what “being O.C.D.” really is, and educating the public. Throwing around O.C.D. as a off-the-cuff comment can create more stigma, shame, and hurt those who suffer. Words matter and I hope we can take back O.C.D. to the true meaning of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.
