LJ, 33, London, UK

I can’t be sure I did something properly and I need the checking rituals to ease the anxiety that something bad might happen as a result.

LJ-no-textAt its worst, my OCD made me fear and doubt all my actions, the consequences becoming my obsessions. I had checking rituals and avoided places due to contamination fears. I feel like a different person now after treatment (including ERP [Exposure and Response Prevention]) and want to encourage anyone who suffers with OCD that help is available.
